Love Shine A Light (15th Anniversary)

Kimberley Rew, the celebrated musician and songwriter behind the renowned song, “Love Shine A Light” is excited to announce the celebration of its 15th Anniversary of being Eurovision Song Contest winner in 1997. The song was the competitionʼs run-away winner – ten countries awarded it the maximum twelve points – and it went on to reach Number 3 in the UK. This special anniversary release pays tribute to the success of this song along with 3 other favourites from Katrina and the Waves catalogue.

The new EP, out today, also includes Sun Street, Ain’t No Money (Buy You Love) and That’s Just The Woman In Me.

“Thatʼs Just The Woman In Me” was famously covered by Celine Dion. (She even named her ‘comeback’ TV special after the song.)

“I remember the very first time I heard one of Kimberleyʼs great songs…..ʼThatʼs Just the Woman In Meʼ. For more than 10 years I couldnʼt get the song out of my mind, and I finally had the chance to record it a few years ago. Now, thatʼs what I call a memorable songwriter!” – Celine Dion

Love Shine A Light (15th Anniversary) is available now on iTunes

Katrina & The Waves would like it to be known that they do not endorse the use of Walking On Sunshine by Michele Bachmann and have instructed their lawyers accordingly.

Cover of Katrina and Waves Classic Makes Top 10 of 2010 List

The tUnE-yArDs cover of I Really Taught Me To Watusi made Wears The Trousers Magazine’s list of Top Ten covers of 2010

They say “Merrill Garbus drags the song…into a fuzzed-out modern indie-rocker full of that amped-up ukulele sound and epic percussion that makes her live shows so spectacular…for completely bonkers fun and plenty of that infectious Garbus charm it’s well worth a listen”
